Living Word Gospel Care Foundation

Environmental Conservation.

Man and plants co-exist. Without plants man can’t survive. High poverty levels have forced many Ugandan citizens to destroys nature especially forests and swamps for human settlement and survival. This has increased chances of disasters e.g floods, landslides. We have since had poor environment implications like prolonged droughts, changes in crop plantinting seasons, soil erosions and infertility. We hence feel our local community is partly contributing to the global warming.

Our Approach

Living Word Gospel Care foundation is embarking on emphasis of tree planting and  growing in various parts of Kisinga Sub County and Bukonzo East County. We so far have one big seedlings nursery bed with a variety of tree seedlings. We have so far supplied 3400 tree seedlings of different species to restore deforested areas and planting on some river banks. We also promote community friendly environmental conservation projects i.e. fish farming, mushroom growing, bee keeping and energy saving stoves. We wish to expand the nursery bed, tree planting and the other environmental friendly activities if we get funds.
